WHY ALPHABET CITY
When I moved from Tokyo to New York, Alphabet City felt strangely familiar. It reminded me of the downtown Tokyo neighborhood where I grew up.
I felt close to it almost immediately—more than I could explain. Before long, I loved it.
People of different races, backgrounds, and means shared the same few blocks. Their differences did not disappear. Still, the neighborhood moved to a rhythm of its own.
Old soul. New spirit. Both at once.
That mix never got boring.
We want to keep making things that don't either.
That is why I borrowed its name for the brand.
Different forms. One point of view.
